The Buffalo Bills headed into their matchup with the New York Jets with high hopes.

This was an opportunity to start their season off with a win, a catalyst for a deep playoff run.

However, through several turnovers and other unfortunate events, the Bills dramatically lost this game.

In a quote shared via B/R Gridiron, Josh Allen took full responsibility for the loss, saying, “I’m the reason we lost tonight.”

Allen finished the game with 236 passing yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions.

It’s difficult for your team to come away with a victory when the quarterback throws three picks.

Allen is seemingly well aware of his miscues and knows he must play better for the Bills to have success moving forward.

This was the second time in Allen’s career that he had three interceptions in the same game.

As one of the AFC’s most talented and athletic quarterbacks, this performance came as a shock to many across the league.

With any luck, Allen will take this personally, working diligently over the next several weeks to mitigate mistakes in the future.

This loss to the Jets is a difficult pill for the Bills to swallow considering it was a divisional game.

They only have five division games left throughout the season.

For a team that is slated to be among the AFC’s elites, any loss is devasting.

Thankfully for Allen and the Bills, their next two teams are against the Las Vegas Raiders and the Washington Commanders.

Neither team has a defense as difficult as the Jets’.

With any luck, the Bills will come out of these two games with wins before moving on to the Miami Dolphins.
