After suffering losses in each of their first two games this season, the New England Patriots entered their Week 3 matchup with the New York Jets desperate to earn a win for the first time in 2023.

Luckily for the Patriots, they were able to hold off the Jets and leave the field with a victory this past Sunday, which improved their record to 1-2 this season.

On Monday, New England linebacker Jahlani Tavai was asked about the energy level inside the team’s locker room after their win over New York.

“For the most part, there’s a lot of energy right now. It’s always great to have that first win. Now we just have to move on to [the] Cowboys.”

Now with a 1-2 record after three games, the Patriots will be looking to add another win to their total when they take on the 2-1 Cowboys inside Dallas’ AT&T Stadium.

New England began their 2023 season with a close loss to the defending NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles, and then in Week 2, the Patriots were handed another loss by the Miami Dolphins.

Facing the possibility of starting their schedule with an 0-3 record, New England was able to make enough plays in Week 3 to defeat the Jets and improve their record to 1-2.

Now, they get to take on an angry Cowboys team that is coming off of a shocking loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3.

Dallas was a heavy favorite in Arizona, and most assumed it was going to be an easy win for the Cowboys, but the unpredictable result of the matchup is exactly why so many people love the NFL.

In Week 4, Dallas is going to be the favorite again, but the Patriots will be looking to follow the Cardinals’ lead and pull off the upset.
